A civil rights group is pushing the board of the high school district to change its system for electing members and correct possible noncompliance with the Voting Rights Act, or face a lawsuit that would likely compel the change.

This is interesting. I see the pros and cons. Makes me think we should be thinking about the same issue with Menlo Park City Council - it's all great people but no one from Belle Haven has been on for as long as I can remember.
