In addition to this, PG&E is disfiguring heritage oaks in Menlo Park. Some were near my house and I took pictures as the guy was having a field-day with his big motorized saw. He flailed his way right thru the middle of two trees. The trees are now - ugly and will be susceptible to diseases. It was obvious the man didn't know how to trim them well. Their truck had an obscure marking, which I also took a picture of.

I went home and called the MP arborist, who said he was going right away to see this damage. I learned that MP or the county gives PG&E full trimming rights.(??!!!)

And you can see it, too. Go to Valparaiso, turn onto Elder toward Santa Cruz and look up mid-block to two trees on the corner.

I'm adding to my comment. I see this as a dangerous reflection of prevalent mindsets - where respect for beauty, and homes for living things - aren't felt, nor respected. Living in this will foster further and possibly worse situations down the road.

My guess is this is all based on money. Could it be anything else? Safety? The trees look more unstable now.
