On Saturday, July 23, the doors to Beltramo's Wines & Spirits, a Menlo Park institution owned and operated by the Beltramo family for 134 years, will close for good.

I have known this truly great institution for half a century, and it's been a privilege. I hope to run across the staff and owners again, and drink a toast to their legendary store. It will be long remembered.
