Politifact: Trump lies 6 times out of 10, almost 2 of 3 claims are lies

Original post made by 26 year old voter, Menlo Park: Sharon Heights, on Jun 23, 2016

TRUMP LIES: Hillary Clinton "is a world class liar"

The facts: According to PolitiFact, 59% of Trump's checked claims have been deemed false or "Pants on Fire" false, versus 12% for Clinton.

Donald Trump:
True: 2%
Mostly True: 7%
Half True: 15%
Mostly False: 17%
False: 40%
Pants on Fire: 19%

Hillary Clinton:
True: 23%
Mostly True: 28%
Half True: 21%
Mostly False: 15%
False: 11%
Pants on Fire: 1%

So much for the random poster and foolish theory - the false equivalency of 'they both lie'.

The guy lies 2 out of three times - in a PREPARED SPEECH (more often at his rallies;) shall he be the one to guide our economy, to create fair tax plans and have his small hand on the nuclear button?

Trump claims more nations should have nuclear weapons - automatic disqualification.

He is insane.

lastly: what is Trump doing today? Going to the UK.

To campaign for the Brexit? No.

To meet at 10 Downing to pick up pointers on foreign policy? Laughably, no.

To open a golf course? Unbelievably, yes. This is Onion level material.

A faltering, broke campaign, and he goes to open a golf course. This is why Republicans refuse to endorse him.

Barbara Bush, today: "What about women? I don’t know how women could vote for someone who said what he said about Megyn Kelly. It’s terrible! And we knew what he meant too"

Scowcroft and other Republicans are lining up AGAINST the lying Trump and will vote for Hillary Clinton.

These statements make only passing acquaintance with reality. [...]

For a businessman, Trump is shaky on his numbers. [...]

Trump's claim is more than double the actual increase. [...]

Closer to the opposite is true.

False equivalents. A nuance too far for many. And nuance isn't a property of modern day media.

Trump just lies. Has no plans for taking over. Just wants to start a media comany after he blames the GOP for his loss.

I, too, feel Trump is trolling the racist third of the goop base for personal gain.

A new show?

Close out the thread: Trump offended many while in Scotland.

One of the biggest events of the year, with the markets roiling, and this fool just sits and talks about himself.

Maybe his pilots will take a wrong turn, and he ends up in the Ukraine. I don't think the GOP would mind if he got lost for about 6 months......

Wrong. Per your own posted info, BOTH of them do lie. Trump lies more, but they BOTH lie.

Donald Trump:

False: 40%
Pants on Fire: 19%

Hillary Clinton:

False: 11%
Pants on Fire: 1%

According to the self appointed arbiter, One lies 59% of the time, Two lies 12% of the time.

FIVE TIMES AS MUCH.

If I have five times as much money, are we both rich, because we both have money?

Yes, false equivalency.

[part removed.] One is a liar whether they tell one lie or many. A liar is a liar, is a liar. One can be a "lesser" liar, but they're still a liar. [part removed.]

#1 lies 59% of the time

#2 lies 12% of the time

Not a 10% difference. Not a 100% difference. FIVE TIMES the difference.

In Menlo V's falsely equivalent world, both are evil liars. Sure wish I lived his/her life of purity and truth.

In the meantime, pollster.com has the average of all polls, showing this election to be a bigger landslide than 2012.

Hillary averages a 7 point lead, unprecedented for this early, and her party has yet to coalesce. Trump, on the other hand, as the Republican leader continues to see the shattering of the GOP with no end in sight.

Most Americans decry the false equivalence of the media narrative and our fellow poster.

My kids are older than the 26 year-old you are addressing. Had I treated them so dismissively, with the disdain you have displayed here, rather than respecting their perspectives and explaining how mine differs, I would have no relationship with them at all by now, which would be what I deserved, and neither they nor I would have learned anything from the other.

Having an extraordinarily large blind spot, the result of a massively over-inflated ego, is also Donald Trump's overriding issue. Maybe give that some thought.

By the way, respecting my kids' perspectives, rather than merely worshiping my own, brought me to many valuable insights in my life, with more to come, I'm quite sure. [part removed.]
