What was the relationship between Spruell and the woman making the allegations? Did they know each other? Lots of unanswered questions here.

Shouldn't she get to spend an equal amount of time behind bars for making up her BS story? In fact, it should 3 times the length, just like a punitive damage, for scaring the hell out this guy, and slandering his name.

Srini, yes, she should, but the B.S. excuse used by D.A.'s not to is that prosecuting a woman who made up a rape or abuse allegation could scare other women from coming forward to report rape or abuse, since if she can't prove it, she might go to jail.

But common sense dictates otherwise. No one deserves to be falsely accused and have no consequence for falsely accusing someone.

Is it true that the DA has declined to prosecute the woman? Or just sloppy reporting about that part of the story?
