Menlo Park: New Laurel school behind schedule, won't open until Oct. 17

While a ceremony to mark progress in the construction of the new Laurel School, Upper Campus in Menlo Park will be held this week, it appears that crowding will temporarily get worse for Laurel students before it get better.

No worries. Building is the main function of the MPCSD, and delays, overages, etc. are a standard part of the process on everything they've ever built. Just as always, they'll juggle the kids the pots of money around in a budget no one every totally sees and will soon be increased by Menlo Park taxpayers once TWO new parcels taxes are passed.
