The Portola Valley School District community is rallying around one of its own, John Bamber, the custodian at Ormondale School for the last 15 years who has been bedridden since January after breaking his legs, hips and pelvis in a motorcycle accident.

I am so glad you put this article in the paper. My kids and I have the fondest feelings for John and were just wondering about him and what he must be up to last week. We had no idea. This support is really fabulous and really necessary. Bravo to Mr. Richter and full healing to John!
