Atherton moves ahead with new stoplight for El Camino

After years of pressing Caltrans to make crossing El Camino Real safer for pedestrians and bicyclists, Atherton appears poised to do that in at least one location, with the help of the Menlo Park Fire Protection District.

Has anyone evaluated what will change on the North side of the crosswalk: currently the crosswalk leads to a fence, no sidewalk, no access.

I take it that if I get hit crossing at Alejandra before the "planned" signal is operational my estate can sue the State.
