Former San Mateo Co. deputy sheriff found guilty of molesting girl for 6 years

SAN JOSE -- A former San Mateo County sheriff's deputy was found guilty Friday of molesting a female relative over a six-year period, starting when she was 11.
Galen Underwood, 42, now faces a mandatory life sentence after a a Santa Clara County Superior Court jury convicted him on nine counts, including aggravated sexual assault. The jury deliberated for slightly more than three days.

I'm wondering if he had been a resident of San Mateo County whether he'd ever been charged... and FYI: the Santa Clara prosecutor, Chuck Gillingham prosecuted the case of the man who molested actress Teri Hatcher when she was a child.
