This is awesome. As a 5-time dad (and there will be NO MORE) of M-A students, I've always been impressed with the quality of our schools, and awards such as this really help add to my pride in my district. Am particularly pleased that the award comes in an area that there is hopefully growing awareness of - the environment. Congratulations to Mr. Powell and M-A!

Kudos to Mr. Powell and M-A! The school is truly a jewel in our midst.

But not to take away anything from this award, the amount of the award is so tiny that it begs the question, is the government truly interested in the science welfare of our nation?

I am sure the bureaucrats in the selection committee spent more money on themselves while meeting to decide.

I would have expected a larger award with a mandate to teach the teachers for Mr. Powell.
