A stereo was taken from an unlocked car and sunglasses from a locked car, while an expensive bike vanished from a garage -- locked status unknown -- in Menlo Park recently.

Any one with a valuable bike who does not instal a GPS tracking chip should not complain. At under $100 it is good insurance investment for a $3500 bike.
