More Woodside residents are moving underground

Woodside residents seem to be moving underground at an increasing pace. In the past five years, the town has approved 40 basements. But this year it has already received proposals for nine more.

Seems like it would be very expensive and difficult to build a basement under an existing large home. Of course, in the Midwest basements are the rule -- good for heading to during a tornado and not getting as cold during the winter.

People who can build a 13,000 square foot basement probably aren't very worried about the cost.
