i just read that the our water usage is being cut down by 25%...please understand that i favor this. there is certainly no question that we are in the midst of a drought and water is a problem. here is my problem...there are currently over 3000 apartments being built in redwood city, the town of los altos has added numerous apartments as has menlo park. the city of menlo park also just approved a 250 room hotel to be built. i may be wrong but where is the water supposed to come from for all those showers? more landscaping? all the things that go along with more people? shouldn't we begin to think about curtailing the number of new residents to an area already low on water?

We should be thinking about forcing big Ag to use water more efficiently and to not grow water intensive crops such as rice and alfalfa in a desert. They use 80% of the water in this state.
