News Hound may want to be more of a Dictionary Hound and inform him/herself that a lie involves intent to deceive or spread a falsehood -- usually if not always, depending on your dictionary. An error is not a "lie."
Of course, if you're of the political persuasion that the NY Times is hellbent on lies and deceit, I guess you're going to come to News Hound's conclusion even if you understand the meaning of "lie". Sad to live in such a blinkered world.
Do we need this sort of right-wing propaganda here on the Almanac web site? What is the point of all of this?
And does the poster who chooses to identify itself as "News Hound" need an intervention of some sort?

Notice that none of the criticisms mentions the New York Times admission of a false statement. It's either all about Rick Perry or Chris Christie or "it depends on the definition of 'is' is." The only thing missing is that it's Bush's fault (that'll come soon enough).
The New York Times is our real 50 shades of grey. Our once vaunted news media is a mere shadow of its former self.
Sad.
And the Old Grey Lady never corrected their Page 1 misinformation about Chris Christie's culpability in "Bridge-Gate" (hint: he had none). And this weeks beheadings of 21 Christians by ISIS ... that was worthy of today's Page 6.
Nice job, NYT. And you wonder why your business model is failing?
I feel as if all of the comments are 're-Hearst'. It all sounds like the new gutter politics to me and better to move on (dot com.).
