Menlo Park debates body-worn camera policy

Does the councilman take into account, if they reduce the "retention" time, they are putting everyone at financial
risk..City of Menlo Park, Menlo PD and the individual officers, what's the point in a litigation happy society ? Why
pay out lawsuits when you don't have too. Just remember, attorney's and potential litigant's will also be watching
the expiration of the retention times as well ! Now comes the lawsuits ! The maximum retention time is one of the
most critical aspects of the body camera policy. Please give it the fullest consideration it deserves..Your citizens

I like the idea of police officers wearing cameras. I appreciate the work that police officers do especially the ones that keep true "dangers" to society out of streets but there are officers that have a prejudice against a particular race, culture, and due to your zip code. I think the body cameras would also protect me as citizen.If all of the enterances to our Belle Haven community have cameras monitoring for safety, I say all police officers should require to have cameras to protect the rights of the public and those that are innocent until proven guilty.
