Fire district plans to build new station in Woodside

A new and larger fire station on Woodside Road in Woodside is in the preliminary planning stages, according to officials from the Woodside Fire Protection District.

The final comments lead me to believe the only acceptable designs would be that of historical farm houses or perhaps a modified barn design. That would certainly be in keeping with Woodside but would it or could it fulfill all the required elements described as needed within the article? That's a tall order! I'll be very curious to see the final design & outcome of this rare opportunity to significantly upgrade the infrastructure while at the same time upgrading the look of this high profile location.

And Councilman Peter Mason managed to ignore his professional training as an architect to overlook the fact the the new Menlo Park Fire Station 6 was properly designed to be compatible with its downtown Menlo Park surroundings rather than to be a glorified Woodside barn.
