A good dose of Randian policies would be welcome - instead, we have O'Bummer abusing our wealthy job creators by suggesting they pay more taxes so he can give tax cuts to lazy middle class families.
When's the last time a piddling middle class person created jobs like the great Mitt Romney or Sheldon Adelson? I mean, look at all the jobs Adelson creates with just the hundreds of millions he donates to political candidates! What a great man!

Ayn Rand and Libertarians seek lower taxes on wealth and job creators, which creates a rising tide that lifts all boats (well, many boats.) For example, taxes on the top 1% are almost at their lowest point in nearly a century, with near constant rate reductions from Kennedy thru Reagan thru Bush, with only a small hiccup from Obama. The top rate when Reagan took office in 1980 was 70%; it is now essentially 35%.
This has resulted in the job creator class, the top 1%, between 1980 and 2008, their income grew by 275%. Income for non-job-creators did not grow much. Job creators, like hedge fund managers, and the aforementioned Mitt Romney, were freed to do their thing. It got even better during the recession, with the top 1% getting a 13 percent raise in 2009. Another 13% in 2010. 14% in 2011. In 2012, incomes of the top 1% jumped 20%. Web Link
Mitt's failure in 2012 was to talk about the 47% of Americans who are The Takers, not The Makers.
Mitt knows that the rest of America, the bottom 80%, has had their incomes become stagnant or drop precipitously; Mitt knows they are not job creators, so they don't deserve it the way a hedge fund manager deserves it.
I find it shocking that Mitt Romney only received 47% of the vote. Just shocking.
Is Mitt going to release his tax returns this time? The reason McCain didn't choose him in 2008 was that Mitt showed him 20 years of returns and McCain said "fuhgiddaboutit", they're too toxic for the public to see how much Mitt hides in tax shelters and other dodges.

Not just palpable frustration, but certifiable pain, along with demonstrable losses in wealth and income for MILLIONS OF AMERICANS.
Just terrible. Allow me to elucidate.
The republicans in government and their role in reducing regulations on Wall Street (repealing Glast Steigal, etc..) that led directly to the Bush Great Recession you referenced above ("the 2008 recession") is extremely frustrating. This is why having brilliant politicians in office, such as Elizabeth Warren, as opposed to the crazy Paul Ryan libertarian types, is so important to protect our society from Corporate and Wall Street greed run amok.
