Nine years ago, on Jan. 7, 2006, East Palo Alto police officer Rich May was gunned down. Today, construction is underway on an athletic field named in his honor that his supporters hope East Palo Alto will be proud of.

This is a wonderful community enhancement project that will benefit local, underpriveledged young people far into the future. Good neighbor, Facebook, could complete this much needed endowment in the blink of an eye. How about it Facebook?
