Woodside: Man flees bank empty-handed after robbery attempt

A man wearing a leopard-print hat tried to rob the Chase bank at 2977 Woodside Road in Woodside on Friday, Dec. 20, but fled the scene without any of the bank's money, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

I hope the cashier wasn't lying about the locked door. Best to give the guy some money and send him on his way rather than risking getting shot. Maybe the cashier was behind bulletproof glass ....
