As we approach the Winter Solstice the following may be of interest:

Earliest Sunset of 2014:
December 5-7 the sun sets at 4:50 PM PST. After December 7 the sun will set later until June 25, 2015.

Latest Sunrise of 2015
January 4-7 the sun rises at 7:24AM PST. After January 7 the sun will rise earlier until June 9, 2015

Shortest days of 2014

December 16-26 There will only be 9 hours and 35 minutes of daylight during these 11 days.
