Its increasingly less of a question If measure M is bad for Menlo, more a question of how. The Post noted that there are no proposals for downtown, i.e. Santa Cruz Ave. Thats in part because the city hasn't started a parking structure. This and traffic and pedestrian improvements on El Camino could be seeded by revenue from the Greenheart and Stanford projects - if they ever get off the ground.

Could not agree more with the confusion about Measure M. I witness it with my neighbors, especially what a Yes on M does. There is a lot of false assumptions on what Measure M will do and not do, especially around traffic.

I respect those who disagree, but I think this is a solid, well-reasoned opinion piece from a dedicated public servant. The line about Measure M creating "delays for years in eliminating the ugly, blighted parcels along El Camino Real" really hits home for me.
