Thomas J. Fogarty of Portola Valley, a noted medical-device inventor, surgeon and vintner, will meet with President Barack Obama at the White House later this year to receive a medal in recognition of his distinguished technological achievements.

Dr, Tom Fogarty is a colleague, brilliant inventoe and surgeon. His contributions to medicine will be legendary. I welcome his recognition as do all his patients past and future.
