Long a leader in the evolution of player safety, the Menlo School football team has embraced a method of shoulder-leverage tackling as one of its priorities. In August, all of the Knights were taught rugby-style tackling, in which you lead not with your head but rather your body. Geez, I imagine that the coach wishes that particular picture wasn't chosen. While the rest of the world embraces heads-up tackling from youth to college, that picture sets it back ten years.

That said: good luck to Charlie Roth and the Knights this season!
