360 Mountain Home Road, that's the former Tully Friedman estate. The buyer according to the LA Times is Japanese businessman Masayoshi Son, chief executive of Softbank. He paid a mere $117.5 million for the place back in November 2012.

It's interesting to read that eucalyptus trees are considered a fire hazard since according to the fire department they are not. My neighbors haven't done anything to their eucalyptus trees for at least 30 years and have refused to cut them back. They do clear the land around their property, but since the trees are not close to their home, they don't care about the fire hazard to neighboring properties, even though the trees are too close to other homes. We can't create a safe area around our homes, but when asked for advice, the Woodside Fire Department says those trees are not a danger. Really? As this article points out, sparks from fires can cover a wide area.
All of us are at risk from those highly flammable trees and I would like to see them removed and replaced with native plants. Down with Euks!
