This is a sad story, but this is not the same situation because police are making the acusation, by charging this man. They have video of the crime and they recovered stolen property.

This thread is a good example of defamation with malace. There is no evidance this man has ever been to Menlo Park, but the poster thinks it's funny to accuse a person of a theft here.

That said, I can only assume that you refer here not to the word malice but rather to an individual named Malace who has a habit of defaming people.
