There are many comments on these blogs about which party I'm affiliated with.  I'm proud to be endorsed by the Libertarian party since this is the only party willing to confront corruption in San Mateo County.

But I'm more interested in talking issues than political parties.  I don't want anyone to get distracted.So let's stick to the issues.

Two of my top issues are corruption in San Mateo County, and the massive unfunded pension liabilities in San Mateo County.

I'm ready to debate Don Horsely at a time and place of his choosing about these issues.  Speaking of unfunded pension liabilities, Mr. Horsely is collecting a handsome pension from the county.  When he first ran for supervisor, he promised to forgo the supervisor's salary because of this large pension, but tried to renege on that promise mid-stream.  I called him on it, and perhaps as a result of my advocacy he had to keep that promise.

Is he going to forgo the salary if he garners a second term?  He's been awfully quiet on this point.

I now want to talk about county manager John Maltbie's "Community Day of Action" on May 10 to help end human trafficking.  This is in response to State Senate Bill 1193 that requires certain businesses to post the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline number or face a $500
to $1000 fine.

I think this is a lot of lip service.  No whistleblower or reporting system has been put into place since I called for one after Operation Dollhouse on April 21, 2007, fully seven years ago.

In Operation Dollhouse, our Sheriff, Greg Munks, and Undersheriff Carlos Bolanos were caught and detained as customers of human trafficked sex slaves by the FBI.

D.A. Steve Wagstaffe wrote to them, fully supporting their predicament, calling it a "non issue" to "those who matter."

Stuart Forrest, San Mateo County's head of probation, is now in prison for child porn, highly related to human trafficking, due to federal — not county – law enforcement.

For 40 years, child abuse allegations against Dr. William Ayres were ignored by the supervisors. It was only when the groundswell of victims and pressure by victims' advocates resulted in a guilty verdict did they even bother to revoke his lifetime achievement award.

Another San Mateo County employee, in IT, Mr. Kerr, was in prison for child porn. 14 felony counts reduced to 1.

Now the county, in the midst of all of this highly questionable behavior, is paying lip service to an ineffective ordinance that posts hotline numbers in stores rather than taking real action to deal with all the abuses I have mentioned.

Does anyone think that a kid who is a sex slave gets to go to a store?

I am running for supervisor to help bring an end to this corruption and lip service politics.I know parents in our county want real action taken for child porn and sex acts, and not a D.A. who says it's a "non issue" if our two top law enforcement officials are caught in an human trafficked sex house in Nevada.

Let's stick to the issues, not the personalities.

Mr. Stogner:

You have recommended that for the position of San Mateo Sheriff, voters write in Juan Lopez.

As DA Steve Wagstaffe is also running unopposed, do you have any write-in candidates in mind for the DA position?

Juan Lopez is qualified as a write in candidate for Sheriff of San Mateo County, brave soul.

I just don't see how calling a operator in Washing DC, who works for a private company, and who is not part of law enforcement helps anything except the private company why are we San Mateo County promoting this phone number?

Bravo Michale Stogner! We need to elect you as San Mateo County Supervisor.

I read the email from District Attorney Wagstaff to Sheriff Munks in the San Jose Mercury editorial titled "Won't Someone Run Against Munks? Please!" reporting that Wagstaff wrote to Munks "To those who matter, ... your integrity is not in the slightest marked by the modern media's efforts to make a story out of a non-story. Hard as it is to think now, remember it will be yesterday's news and irrelevant by tomorrow."

If District Attorney Wagstaff and "those who matter" think that a sheriff who is a patron of a criminal activity that is second only to drugs in dollar volume is a person of integrity, then those of us voters who "don't matter" need not only get rid of Sheriff Munks by writing in the name of his June 3rd 2014 opponent, Deputy Sheriff Juan Lopez, we need to leave the box for Wagstaff unmarked. It seems no one registered to oppose Wagstaff, and even write-in candidates must be registered. In the future, we who "do not matter" to the in-crowd need to be vigilant to remove the arrogant.

I would invite everyone who sees this to call the promoted phone number, but before you do take about 3 minutes to think about what it would be like to be a sex slave, how long the abuse took before you finally got the courage to make a call for help. What you had to go through just to get to a safe phone to make a short call. Now call the nice woman in Washing DC………Why isn't this a call to San Mateo County Sex Crimes Unit? Sheriff Munks shut it down.

This is where Comprehensive Performance Review Audits would help. We would have more transparency on the cases that don't get charged, also as mentioned above with the Mr. Kerr example 14 Felony counts reduced to 1 How and why?

I know a number of people who STILL wrote in other names for DA when Wagstaffe ran unopposed four years ago - and those write -in candidates weren't registered.

What experience does Michael have that will make him able to produce effective action as County Supervisor? What positions has he held in private or public enterprise? What is his educational background? How does he currently make a living? How long has he held specific positions and what has he accomplished?

It's great to have a platform. It will take a proven ability to work with others, leading people, and a history of implementing change to make his good intentions come to fruition.
