"San Mateo County's District Attorney has generally run against no opponent, for many, many years.
San Mateo County needs a fresh perspective for it's District Attorney Office. The deadline for filing for candidacy for the Office of District Attorney, to run against the current DA Steve Wagstaffe is drawing near.

San Mateo County needs a DA who will not be lax in prosecuting sexual crimes against children, as the current DA's record proves. We need a DA who will prosecute child molesters to the fullest extent of the law, rather than allowing sex offenders to avoid registration, and serve overly short jail sentences.

We need someone to run who has compassion for the LAW ABIDING citizens of the County of San Mateo, and who won't bow to the wishes of the powerful and wealthy criminals in our midst.

We need to have a candidate who will truly "seek justice and accountability for all who violate the law in our county." and "also seek to provide assistance for those victimized by criminals."

The Ayres blog's subtle suggestion that Dave Pine run against Wagstaffe is a good one. Wonder if Dave Pine would be open to it?

Dave Pine definitely needs to run against DA Wagstaffe. We need honesty and integrity in our DA's office again. We need someone who will not cover up the most heinous of crimes. - child molestation. Those are the crimes our society abhors the most.

Just an opinion - y'all need to work on messaging and brand.

From afar, y'all seem to be the same libertarian, right leaning (I know, pc, stog's both a D) screamers about corruption. But when someone follows the link, it's a real mess. Look at it with fresh eyes.

Seriously - constructive criticism. Very hard to follow.

example - look at what the GOP did when they co-opted the libertarian in the 80s and 90s: got rid of the wild eyed messaging, got rid of the drug legal-izers, etc...

Clean it up and make it easy for normal folk to follow your message.

Lastly, lose the arrogance of some of your regular posters - the ones always ranting, or dropping insults about anonymous posters, for example.

You're onto something, do not drive away folks that may be supportive.
