San Mateo County sheriff's deputy arrested for alleged molestation

"Will Wagstaffe defend this guy as he did Sheriff Munks and Undersheriff Bolanos after they were caught at the house for underaged prostitutes?"

Of course not. There's no political capital in it for Wagstaffe like there was in the Munks case. Besides the fact it's outside his jurisdiction. And unlike the corrupt little sewer of a county we live in, Santa Clara County DA's typically take a very hard line on this stuff when it comes to cops.

Sad to say but this is to be expected since our County leaders have done nothing since Operation Dollhouse was brought to our attention, actually they supported it, and here we are today. They knew this story would come out.

The reason a San Mateo County sheriff thought he could get away with this is because DA Steve Wagstaffe operates two systems of justice: one for cops, and one for everyone else.

When San Mateo County Sheriff Greg Munks and San Mateo County Under Sheriff Carlos Bolanos were caught in Las Vegas' "Operation Dollhouse", two key facts were glossed over by local media:

1. This was an underage prostitution house. (Why else would the FBI be raiding it...normal prostitution is legal in Nevada!).

2. Munks and Bolanos said they thought it was a nightclub. Anyone who has seen the photo knows it's of what looks to be a crack house in some hovel of a neighborhood.

Just a quick word of support from me as you go through a difficult time. The report depicts a workplace where sexual language was common, an employee was teased about sexual orientation, a birthday cake for an employee was adorned with a naked woman figurine, employees accessed adult Internet sites on their work computers and a life-size fake skeleton had breasts drawn on it.

Foucrault was also accused of "mooning" two male staffers, which he denied. The investigation could not substantiate the incident, although the evidence "suggests it probably did occur," the report said.

reported this to her school counselor on Wednesday and SMC Deputy Galen Underwood was arrested on Thursday.

Sorry to say but true
I have no confidence that Deputy Galen Underwood would have been charged with anything had these alleged crimes been committed in San Mateo County, thanks to our Supervisors.

Does anybody where the family stands I understand they where at the court appearance yesterday, so often they side the perp which can cause more harm to the victim.

CORRECTION: Prostitution is not legal in all parts of Nevada & Munks & Bolanos were too stupid or too lazy or too arrogant to find a legal brothel!

It's not legal in Las Vegas proper. It was legal where they were.

Prostitution is NOT legal anywhere in Clark County, Nevada. Clark County includes all of Las Vegas and a large area around it.

Munks' brothel was on the outskirts of the city, but they were still in Clark County. This brothel was not legal.

Lurker has it right. That's what was so obviously stupid about their behavior - it's not hard at all to find the legal places. And it being busted while they were there - coincidence, bad timing, or?

Wow. This is the first time I've seen the brothel for underaged prostitutes on Google maps. The street view shows a non-descript suburban house in a suburban neighborhood that looks like all the others.

What was Munks and Bolanos's excuse for entering the place?

One thing is for sure: the corruption by Munks and Bolanos, aided by their chief enabler DA Wagstaffe, seems to have given some deputies in the sheriff's office the idea that they can break whatever law they feel like, with no consequences.

Take a wild guess at what the spouses and children of our deputies have to tolerate.

Lurker - their excuse was that they just wanted massages, after they'd raced that day. They relied on their limo driver to take them there & had *no* idea what the place was really about. Yep, after all those combined years of LE experience, they had no idea that they were at a brothel. Those are the folks running the LE arm of the county - & they got away w/it. Makes me wonder what they really got up to when they were both employed by Palo Alto PD.

I dream of using my teaching/presentation skills, and, my Great knowledge and experience in working with the deputies of The San Mateo County Sheriff's Dept. and under the D.A.'s office, to bring education and encouragement to groups of officers, so that they might begin to *see* how their culture of silence (and the lies and secrets that grease it's wheels) has a terrible and destructive rippling effect on everyone, and that they might then begin to feel and understand better, why and how to implement even small changes, that will make life for everyone, safer - less painful, dangerous, chaotic and scarey - and to build genuine trust back, with 'the people'. Slowly as it may come...

Most EVERYONE who I speak to about the police. sheriff's, when I ask, "what is your perspective on 'them' "? They are ALL afraid of police now! Nationwide, too, everyone IS.

Me? Perhaps I SHOULD also be afraid, maybe even especially I should be(?) But I've chosen not be. ...Terrified sometimes of what I hear and am told? Yes! But not so much that I'm afraid. No. Not ever will I allow myself to be afraid.

I hope I have an opportunity to speak to my former employee (the D.A.'s office and Sheriff's Dept.) and to discuss the materials I have and my willingness to be a part of the solution.

When i read the RAGE people feel and the thirst for blood for this young deputy Galen Underwood? I realize that my skills and knowledge and expertise would be put to great use - if they might only contact me, though.

As I 'read' the countenance of people very well, and their posturing, he does seem 'guilty' in my opinion. But what does this matter if there is so much work to be done and the root of the suffering itself, is not addressed?

What can YOU do to be a part of the solution??? Besides lend a careful ear to those in your own families? I suggest we all 'seek them out' now and love them now.

Yeah, like the resort they were staying at didn't offer massages at its spa, nor the other 17 (or whatever) retail massage businesses that they passed along the way of the 3 mile drive to this small neighborhood house with bars on its windows.
