If I am not mistaken they are flying the FAA approved instrument approach path to the San Carlos airport. I don't think you'll have much success getting the FAA to change the approach. It is specifically designed for a safe approach in low visibility conditions. It is also used in visual conditions because many planes fly instrument flight plans so they are fully monitored and separated from other aircraft while in flight.

you are WAY off base. The RNAV approach to SQL (San Carlos) is performed at 3900ft AGL over our area. and to pick on Surf Air's two flights a day vs. the nearly 500 air operations per day at SQL seems a bit odd.
In fact AirNav shows 3 other PC-12's landed there today coming from the south, as well as 2 citation jets. So as far as noise goes.....there are a lot more flights than the surf air ones.

We in Linfield Oaks have noticed a decided increase in air traffic and attendant noise from low-flying aircraft on approach to SQL -- directly overhead, in our case -- and I find it very hard to believe these planes are at 3,900 feet AGL over Menlo Park. I have no idea which small operator(s) may be responsible for the increased traffic, if commercial operators they be, and while I'm generally supportive of private and commercial aviation the added noise is definitely bothersome. If you discover anything please share it here.
