Menlo Park's "housing element" has made the news all year, but what exactly is a housing element? The Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County is hosting a workshop on Thursday, Sept. 12, to answer that question.

there needs to be quite a few of these meetings about housing. there once was a middle-class on the peninsula. hope that something substantial is accomplished in this forum. what about it? affordable housing? huh?
