What makes me MAD is that I live on the "fringe" of the unincorporated area of Menlo Park, Stanford/Leland/Vine. Therefore I HAVE to vote absentee. And Oak Knoll School, which is a polling place is only a block from my house. So I question whether my ballet ever counts. we should all have the RIGHT to vote at Oak Knoll since it is in our neighborhood. And since I live in the "incorporated" part of Menlo Park pay all the school bond taxes. UPSETTING!

I have asked the elections office to tell me the number of mail in ballots they received in the November 2012 election. So far they have been unable to answer that question. We do know that 165,877 mail in ballots were counted which means they qualified. That means a lot of people did it right, if for some reason they didn't qualify they would not count. still waiting for the answer, how many were mailed in?

Explain to me how to keep a secret paper ballot but track it to be sure it gets counted. It is SO labor intensive for the poll workers to count, track and process the Vote by Mail which has replaced the 'absentee' term years ago. If voters would use the voting machines which has a required paper trail , the results are ready when polls close.
At least Vote by Mail keeps the post office working.

Why is Jerry Hill interested in this?
