Recently, the term "dreamers" referred to the children of undocumented residents, due to the Dream Act. There's no mention of that here, and it may not apply. If it doesn't, it might be helpful to use another term, as it carries some political baggage; some people who may be fully supportive of minorities may be hesitant to contribute to a program which is focused on undocumented residents.

The "I Have a Dream" Foundation began in 1981. Web Link
The first class of East Palo Alto Dreamers began participating in the program in 1993. By the time the DREAM (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) Act was first introduced in 2001, they were already graduating from high school.
As we have been reminded so many times over the last week, both share the "I have a dream..." legacy created by Martin Luther King, Jr, fifty years ago. Confusion seems minimal, and I think there are enough dreams to go around!
