And why was this individual hired in 2008 as Finance Director of the SM County Mosquito Abatement and Vector Control District if she already had a criminal record which included a conviction for embezzlement in connection with a previous employer?

Um, wait, no one did any kind of background check before giving this woman a job with a salary paid by our taxes? Can I apply?!? I don't know about finance but I've never been indicted for anything!

San Mateo County Sheriff Munks got caught in a prostitution sting. San Mateo County Manager John Maltbie was caught in a prostitution sting. (They both were not charged!) These guys are making $300-400K!
No wonder we're in such a mess, and the County is asking for more tax dollars. The County continues to hire the best and the brightest!
