Interim chief named while injured chief recovers

A former chief of the Menlo Park Fire Protection District, Douglas Sporleder, will serve as interm chief while Chief Harold Schapelhouman recovers from injuries sustained from a fall. Chief Schapelhouman underwent back surgery Monday.
