The Portola Valley Town Council has agreed to accept a bid of $403,888 from the Jensen Corp., a landscape contractor, to renovate Ford Field, a Little League baseball field at 3329 Alpine Road.

$400k for new grass and drainage?? No way should this project start until they can fund the ENTIRE vision. The grass (nor the drainage) are the issues at Ford. The issues are dilapidated structures overall (including dugouts, backstop, and batting cage,) outdated and non-functional scorebard, a suboptimal configuration on the plot, NONE of which would be addressed in this project. Don't rush it and do it right!
