Having just returned from New York, I can personally attest that when disaster hits, oftentimes, "you are on your own".
Hoping for the best, but planning for the worst is simply common sense. As the expression goes, "those that plan ahead tend to get more of what they want".
This email will be short and sweet, testing the waters to see if others would like it continued.
Safety Tip #1: In a disaster, in an emergency and/or other crisis, communication is often the key. In the event electricity goes out, for a prolonged period of time, you may only have your cell phone to rely on. In this case, a day or so later, the battery may go dead.
In this instance, it is suggested that you go out and purchase a cell phone - adapter for your car in order to charge up the battery. This may be an important life line to family, friends, neighbors and/or in essence, your link to the outside world. The cost is minimal and the benefit may be maximum.
Stay well, stay safe and plan ahead. Thanks for your time and interest.
