So if I understand this correctly, if the town cannot sell the Blue Oaks lots, donated by the original developer per the requirements for BMR housing, the town's citizens are expected to contribute to the fundraising movement? In essence, we would be donating housing to people with solid incomes who can already afford homes - perhaps not in PV, but I suspect they're not exactly living in squalor.
As much as I support the idea of providing BMR housing for our teachers and civil servants, if I want to help people who are struggling to put roofs over their heads, I'll continue to put my charity dollars in organizations like Habitat For Humanity and the Shelter Network.
