Looks like they need the extra 50K as the paint is already coming off the exterior under the windows. (drive by slowly on SC and you will see the paint flaking off).

Are those government workers doing the building? Or private contractors hired by the district?
Does arch-con hate all working people, or just some?
Maybe arch-con wants all public schools closed, make every one go to a private school, but then someone has to build those also.

my post must have worked, I saw a painters lift by the windows with the flaking paint this weekend.
maybe I should go have a closer look around...
((I thought we paid people to do this work))) I guess not...

How about $50,000 for each neighbor to the school who have endured Monday through Sunday operations..... that's right, Sunday until 6:30 PM sometimes..... And Ahmad and the contractor still cannot make up the time to meet the deadline that was know two years ago.
Here's another idea...... How about having Ahmad pony up the $50K from his second job he took with South City while he still works for MPSD.

No complaints from me. If the $50k is going to be spent anyway, it's nice to be assured that the project is being watched closely with an eye toward getting the school done before the kids return. Most students at all four schools have been through construction on their campuses (good problem to have) so it would be great for the HV students to return to minimal construction. I'm glad the District has their eye on the ball.

Didn't the school district have a stiff penalty clause in the contract with the construction company if they didn't complete it on time! If not, they were really short sided and in fact, very ignorant in the construction world. I'd love to know how many hours have actually been worked by the union workers and how many breaks they have taken. The productivity of those guys really stinks and as was noted earlier, the shoddy work is starting to show!

How could this happen? The contract should have provided penalties for delayed completion, or incentive for early completion. Going back to the well is absolutely inappropriate. That $50,000 of taxpayer money should go to educate the children, not pay off a contractor!
Who is doing this shoddy oversight anyway?
