The clear winner of the night may have been the World Series, given the sparse crowd attending the forum for the five candidates running for two open seats on the Menlo Park Fire Protection District board.

Come on Chuck, it has lost it flavor. People don't care. Get a life, thanks for running for office last time, many people don't have that courage. The past is the past. Get over it!

If you're referring to Chuck Bernstein in your above post, he was not at last night's candidate forum. Apparently, you weren't either, or you would have known that he did not attend. Please stop misleading people by implying things that are not true.

Morale, low? I don't think this is an issue given the hours and compensation provided the fire fighters. Many have second jobs, perhaps that is adversely affecting their performance.
