I saw her fishing Monday morning too. Looks like she's found a good food source!

I've noticed the night Herons are not roosting near the pond anymore--did they loose their turf?

I've seen a black-crowned night heron and a cormorant at that pond, and a night heron at the Japanese garden in San Mateo, but never an osprey nearer than Skyline. Derek must have a lot of luck, a quick eye, and an excellent telephoto. But how do we get "she"?--I mean, other than the fact that the female is deadlier than the male?
Let's hear it for Darwinian pressure on those fat slow koi!
