Maybe these were the same youngsters as were just arrested; they've had the munchies for *days* & were just looking for some snacky snacks.

I remember years ago when that poor woman on Menalto confronted a young intruder & he murdered her. IIRC, ironically, his mom had sent him to this area to live w/relatives because she was concerned about the company he'd been keeping.

Too bad the law doesn't allow the release of names of arrested who are ages 16 and 17. Also publish the parents' names of all juveniles arrested from age ten up to 21. That might help put a damper on the youthful criminal activity.

MENLO, yes, that bloody, heinous crime really has stayed w/me - I didn't live that far away. I recall it really hit the cops heard, too - it was that bad. I was quite young (weren't we all once!) & it impacted me, so when I've lived alone, I've had a dog as often as possible. I remind myself of the canines benefits when I grumble about paying vet bills & cleaning up their messes.
