Chili cook-off benefits fire district

A chili cook-off and barbecue is coming to the Runnymede Farm in Woodside on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. when firefighter/cooks from the local fire protection district will square off against their cooking counterparts from local restaurants, including Alice's Restaurant and The Village Pub.

1st Alarm Chili Cook-off and BBQ, Sept. 25, 2011 at Runnymede, Woodside, is SOLD OUT! What a great response to this event, hosted by the Woodside-Portola Valley Fire Protection Foundation, in support of the Woodside Fire Protection District. Reserved tickets will be at Will Call on the day of the event. No tickets mailed. No tickets available at the event due to headcount maximum. Given that it's sold out, I won't feel so bad at missing this. What a great event! I am sooo glad to hear that it's sold out. May the best chili win!
