Are Council’s High Priorities Yours?
Fellow Residents,
DO YOU AGREE THAT THE CITY COUNCIL’S HIGHEST PRIORITIES SHOULD BE --
• ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
• ENHANCING PUBLIC TRUST
• IMPROVING TRANSPORTATION MOBILITY THROUGHOUT THE CITY
• LACK OF AFFORDABLE CHILD CARE
• LACK OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING
• EMERGENCY PREPARATION
• LAND USE
• AND CONTINUOUS ACCESS TO OPEN SPACE
Sorry Lee, where is the #1 priority "QUALITY OF LIFE"
You can defend Keith and Ohtaki who can do no wrong in your eyes, but the whole council has missed out on what should be happening at the council level.
The present Downtown / Specific plan is pretty nothing more than a give away to developers at the expense of the financial well being of the City and invites more traffic congestion and loss of our beloved "Small Town" atmosphere, the #1 item that citizens wanted when they were invited to "visioning" sessions.
It is just plain silly and should not be approved. But all indications are, a few small changes will be made and it will pass.
This is pretty much what we should have expected when the present City Manager was chosen 4 years ago. He came to us from being manager of a "growth at any expense" city in Southern California, and he has pursued these policies since arriving here. Now he is "double dipping" as approved by the present council, which can't seem to get its act together on anything.
Disgusted...
