Willow Road is a major artery used by many Menlo Park residents to get to their homes from Highway 101. It should be left as it is.

What if people in Sharon Heights complained about the traffic on Sand Hill Road and wanted it pared down to 2 lanes. Should the interests of one neighborhood overide the interests of the entire community? I think not.

The Council should instruct its staff to cease and desist on Willow Road.

Better idea--widen the entire stretch to 2 lanes. The VA has plenty of ground to spare, and we can cramp the businesses a little, if necessary. Then build an underpass at the tracks. This will all result in the traffic moving more smoothly, with no bottlenecks. After all, people who must get through town are going to go anyway. This will just make it a little easier and quicker!
