The annual summer reading begins June 1st, and runs through August 15th. This year's reading program for babies through 5th grade children is called "One World, Many Stories". The theme for teens is "You Are HERE". Come to the library beginning June 1st to pick up your reading log. Children who read 20 minutes a day will earn prizes over the course of the summer. Upon completion, they will receive a paperback book, and a ticket for an age appropriate raffle prize. Teens need to complete at least 3 reviews to receive a flash drive and pen. Teens who complete all their reviews can enter a drawing for an iPod Touch. There will be weekly raffle prizes, the more reviews submitted, the better your chances to win! Teens may participate at only one County Library. There are also review forms and raffle prizes for adults!
The library is located at 2 Dinkelspiel Station Lane in Atherton. Visit our website at www.smcl.org for information on this and other programs. Or call the library at 650-328-2422.
