Our system of justice, with "deals," rubs me wrong. Deals often induce innocent people to say they're guilty or plead no contest, because their lawyers tell them it's the best "bet." Dealmaking also results in potential jurors being called in and then dismissed because a deal was cut at the last moment. The winners are the judges and prosecutors, because they don't have to take the matter to trial. Also, when dealmaking is allowed, lawyers can ask for higher rates of pay if they have a reputation for making favorable deals. The justice system shouldn't be set up like a bidding game. Other countries' justice systems don't allow deals.

I would think that the BBC would have absolutely refused to agree to such a plea. Hope ICE will check their legality. Women should boycott the BBC.

It's a criminal case. The BBC doesn't have any say in the case.
