How can HSR proceed without a complete design and complete EIR for the entire project.

And now, the funding for even the Central Valley portion is threatened, as COngress talks of removing the $2 billion of stimulus funds for this project. If they do, this will also remove the $2billion of state matching funds, so nothing will be built.
I suspect the Rail Authority will eventually spend all $10 billion, and we will have nothing as a legacy but a giant boondoggle. This has been a tissue of lies and false projections from the beginning, sadly.

This proves that all decisions made, and directions given by the board, since the board members in conflict of interest have been on board, should be reversed. Project needs to be taken back to 2009 for a redo.
Katz has resigned, and Pringle says that since his term as mayor is up in a few weeks, its all a moot point - no more conflict of interest going forward, so he's all good to go. Nope. Wrong. It certainly is NOT all water under the bridge - its all the utterly untrustworthy decisions and directions made up to this point since they came on to the board, which now need to be reversed. (by a court if necessary)

Overheard at a business lunch...."LA TIMES map is not going to be the
final routing". "Anything to get the bloody thing moving." (laughter and another round of drinks except to the power person who doesn't touch the stuff.
