Athertonian settles at $5,500 after losing $160 million

Our local girl Meg settles another complaint, only this one isn't with an employee she assaulted or the SEC.

For someone with a reputation for brilliant decisions, why didn't she see this coming in advance and pay her housekeeper the nine grand in back wages? Seems that this dispute was the nail in her political coffin.

She was running neck and neck with a political retread until California found out about her illegal employee of nine years. Seems her consultants wanted to air this out in the primaries, but it was Meg's decision to cover it up and hope no one found out. It's always the coverup in politics, isn't it?

Getting chintzy on nine grand, after spending $160 million on ads and consultants.

Wow.

Stunning that she thought an election could be overpowered by sheer volume of cash, yet nickel and dime'd the person who was her undoing.

Meg gets vindication that the working families she rails against were in fact against her: nurses union assisted Nikki Diaz.

"According to an account published in the San Francisco Chronicle on Tuesday, the California Nurses Assn. helped Diaz get in touch with Allred. The nurses union had been a thorn in Whitman’s side throughout the campaign, protesting at events and dressing up an actress as “Queen Meg.”"

Meg, dear, you should have actually listened to your highly paid advisers, when they told you not to cover-up your employing the illegal.

It's always the cover up.
