Bohannon is promoting his vast Menlo Gateway project through ballot Measure T. Chuck Bernstein opposes Measure T, because its promoters greatly overstate the scope and timing of its benefits to the City, and greatly understate the many costs and burdens it would impose. If passed, Measure T will over time worsen Menlo Park's already-severe financial problems, problems that Chuck has identified as being Menlo Park's most pressing issue.
David Bohannon evidently fears that his Measure T won't succeed on its merits, so he's apparently trying to deflect attention from its deficiencies by attacking a candidate who opposes it. Bohannon would do better at this point by publicly apologizing for energetically disseminating what he must know are falsehoods.
