Maybe they should have concentrated on watching out for burglaries - our car was broken into - in same area one was broken into last year (we found out after the fact)

OK It's the law. No parking means no parking. The question is how many of these no parking signs are really needed or resonable. Atherton has a tendency to be too restrictive about parking.
$1600.- is laughable.

Shame on you Atherton! Hand that money over to the Vista Center for the Blind, the organization for whom the money was being raised for in the first place. The people you ticketed probably donated more money in one sitting than you collected all together, a whole 1,600 dollars? Not exactly a wind fall for your town's short fall.

That money should have gone to our Psychic Research Foundation which could have made better use of it and our Edgar Cayce foundation for the sons of Nostradamus Society, which has predicted more disasters in the last month, than any other spiritual group.
So there.
